PRS is a new company set up to meet the needs of local government enforcement officers who have to investigate and prosecute those who commit regulatory offences.

Our strength lies in our approach to enforcement training which focuses on the needs of the officer in the context of the local authority laws s/he is required to control. Our aim is to generate confidence through training to motivate and empower officers to be enthusiastic, productive and effective.

Whilst we teach the necessary legal rules, the focus is different from the standard police or solicitor training courses that are generally available. The results we have achieved show that our approach to this issue works, with successful prosecutions in licensing, benefit fraud, environmental crime, housing, food safety and health & safety.

In partnership with the Environmental Health Officers Registration Board we have now developed a new course - The Certificate in Regulatory Enforcement. This is an introduction to The Human Rights Act and related investigatory law for enforcement officers.
